Microsoft to finish Windows 10 support on 14th, 2025

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025. It’ll mark just over 10 years since the OS was first introduced. Microsoft revealed the retirement date for Windows 10 in an updated support life cycle page for the OS. This reports that this is often the primary time Microsoft has ever described the top of support for Windows 10.

It’s not clear exactly when the support document was updated. But Thurrott reports it only previously documented “when specific Windows 10 versions would go away support,” and not the whole OS. So what effect will Bootstrap, Bootstrap 4 occur? So, this is also for IT Tech or Dev Tech. It might be another hint that a replacement version of Windows is on the way.

Expectation

Microsoft has been dropping many hints that it’s able to launch Windows 11. The software maker is holding a special Windows event to reveal the “next generation” of the OS next week. The event starts at 11 AM ET, and therefore the event invite includes a window. It makes a shadow with an overview that appears just like the number 11. Also, Microsoft execs have also been teasing a “next generation of Windows” announcement for months. And one even described it as a “new version of Windows” recently. Microsoft also teased Windows 11 during an 11-minute video last week.

We’re expecting Microsoft to announce a replacement version of Windows with significant interface changes. And an overhaul to the Windows Store. It has been performing on something codenamed “Sun Valley.” Which the corporate has mentioned as a “sweeping visual rejuvenation of Windows.” There’ll be many other changes, so read our previous coverage for what to expect.

Reality

Microsoft initially dedicated 10 years of help for Windows 10, with a shrewd standard finish of help date set for October thirteenth, 2020. That standard finish of help has not yet initiated. Microsoft has been presenting ordinary updates and expanding dynamic Windows 10 help.

We’re as yet not inside the all-inclusive help period of Windows 10 yet, which is that the sum when Microsoft doesn’t add new highlights to an OS and just keeps up help with bug fixes and security patches.

Windows 10 has been a surprising delivery for Microsoft on the grounds that it moved inaccessible from its common rhythm of delivering a substitution rendition of the OS like clockwork. All things being equal, Microsoft moved Windows to a greater degree as a help. By refreshing it two times every year with new highlights. Do you like dev tech news? It may have depicted Windows 10 as “the last form of Windows”. Yet it’s currently been almost a long time since its delivery and Microsoft looks ready to progress to something new.
